Donald Trump Jr. calls the hiatus ‘The Talk’ about Piers Morgan’s debate ‘insane’, argues Sharon Osbourne

Donald Trump Jr. shared his thoughts on CBS’s “The Talk” taking a brief hiatus to investigate the recent heated discussion between Sharon Osbourne and co-host Sheryl Underwood.

On Monday, the program announced that it would cancel its Monday and Tuesday episodes to deepen the conversation between the two co-hosts after Osbourne defended his friend Piers Morgan, who was accused of racism for not believing Meghan’s claims. Markle in her recent interview with Oprah Winfrey.

On Tuesday, the son of former President Donald Trump responded to a tweet from Morgan on the matter, calling the whole situation “insane”.

“This is going crazy! Now other programs are being taken off the air because someone who really knows someone else doesn’t believe they are racist simply because someone else accused them of this without any basis, simply because they didn’t believe in someone else. Got it?!? @Piersmorgan, ” Trump Jr. wrote.

The tweet came in response to one issued by Morgan expressing similar confusion over the network’s decision to put “The Talk” on a hiatus.

“So @CBS took The Talk off the air while investigating @MrsSOsbourne’s ‘scandal’ defending me when @sherylunderwood said I was ‘racist’ for not believing Meghan Markle,” the former “Good Morning Britain” host wrote. “The REAL scandal is that I am labeled a racist for refusing to believe a liar.”

Morgan announced that he was leaving his job at Britain’s ITV last week, after dramatically leaving the set during a broadcast the day before. The British host had a negative reaction by saying on the air that he does not believe Markle’s claims that she had thoughts of suicide while acting as a senior member of the royal family.

Osbourne explained that although she disagrees with Morgan’s opinion, she supported him in expressing it.

After Osbourne made his controversial comments, co-host Sheryl Underwood replied, “While you’re next to your friend, it looks like you’re giving validation or a safe haven to something he said is racist.”

“He doesn’t want to understand how Meghan was treated as racism and then says … ‘I don’t see it as racist – I don’t believe what she’s going through’ – it’s that white right, privilege that makes him racist with himself,” added Underwood. “So, if you’re saying ‘I’m with you’, how do you address people who say that you are against racism?

After the episode aired, Osbourne apologized on Twitter for her comments and “any person of color that I have offended and / or anyone who is confused or discouraged by what I said.”

She said she was “in a panic, she was surprised [and] became defensive. “

“There are very few things that hurt my heart more than racism, so feeling associated with it left me fast! I’m not perfect, I’m still learning like the rest of us and will continue to learn, listen and do better,” Osbourne’s statement continued.
