Donald Glover and Phoebe Waller-Bridge signed up to play the lead roles in an Amazon Studios TV adaptation of Mr and Mrs Smith, a 2005 film starring Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie as married suburban killers. Variety reports that Glover and Waller-Bridge will also serve as executive producers on the series.
Guava Island, The film centered on Glover’s music with Rihanna, was an Amazon Original. Waller-Bridge created and starred in the Prime Video series Flea bag. The two also shared scenes in the 2018 Disney movie Solo: a Star Wars story; Glover played Lando Calrissian and Waller-Bridge an android called L3-37.
Last year, Glover met with the cast of his former NBC show Community on a virtual table, read the benefits of COVID-19’s relief efforts. Your last album, 3/15/20, was launched in March.
