The Miami Dolphins have not yet made official some of their latest coaching moves, but have apparently made another addition.
Former NFL security guard Steve Gregory will join the team as a technical assistant, according to NFL reporter Field Yates.
Gregory played eight seasons in the NFL and appeared in 111 games with 54 games. His last two seasons were spent with the New England Patriots in 2012 and 2013, when the safeties coach was none other than Brian Flores.
The Dolphins allegedly promoted George Godsey and Eric Studesville to serve as co-offensive coordinators, but have not yet made that official more than a month later. The Dolphins have also decided to promote Austin Clark or Rob Leonard to take up the post of defensive line coach, but that move is not official either.
LATEST VAN NOY
Linebacker Kyle Van Noy remains the property of the Miami Dolphins, although they have already warned him that he will not return for a second season with the team.
The drawback is that the Dolphins are still looking to try to make an exchange and get something in return for Van Noy, a proposal hampered by the remaining three years of the $ 51 million contract he signed off-season.
Although there must be many suitors for Van Noy’s services, the feeling remains that it is only a matter of time before the Dolphins simply release him.

ROWE KEEPING BUSY
The NFLPA’s annual boarding program has practically come to an end of the season, but that hasn’t stopped 52 NFL players from taking on roles in 24 different organizations.
One such player is Dolphins security guard Eric Rowe, who will work with the International Justice Mission.
IJM is an international non-profit organization that partners with local justice systems to end violence against people living in poverty, according to its website.
Rowe showed his support for the International Justice Mission during the My Cause My Cleats initiative this season.
YOUR TOUR
Tua Tagovailoa continued his tour of national outlets to promote “Tua Days” for Muscle Milk, and this time he spoke to The Sporting News.
In this particular interview, he talked about his relationship with veteran quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick, who is likely to leave as a free agent this season.
“I truly believe that everything happens for a reason,” Tagovailoa told The Sporting News. “It all happened the way it was supposed to. I have to learn a lot from Fitzpatrick – he is a great guy. At the same time, I also had the opportunity to get into the game, to have some playing time.
“It was great – very great – to have Ryan. Many of the guys who were very successful in the NFL, were mentored by guys before them. Ryan has been in the league for 16 years. He knows the ins, the outs, the people, in terms of players we’re playing against. He helped try to simplify things. He was a great asset to help me become a better football player. “
TANKERSLEY UPDATE
The cornerback career of Cordrea Tankersley in the NFL has been going south since he started 11 games as a rookie in the third round of the Dolphins in 2017 and there was another setback on Friday.
Tankersley was released by Minnesota Vikings, for whom he played two games with a start in 2020. Tankersley ended the season in the team’s training squad and was re-signed for a future contract in January.
Tankersley was part of the 2017 forgettable draft class of the Dolphins, which has only two members on the list – Davon Godchaux and Isaiah Ford. And Godchaux and Ford are unrestricted free agents.
