When the free agency opens next week, expect several of the Patriots’ free agents to hear from the Dolphins.
Brian Flores spent his entire coaching career in New England before becoming the coach of the Dolphins, and the Dolphins prioritized bringing players that Flores knew from New England, including Kyle Van Noy, Eric Rowe, Ted Karras and Elandon Roberts. Barry Jackson’s Miami Herald reports that the Dolphins plan to contact several free Patriots agents this year as well.
Current Patriots that the Dolphins may try to sign up for next week include strikers Adam Butler, Dietrich Wise and Lawrence Guy, reserve defender Brian Hoyer and center David Andrews.
Flores won four Super Bowl rings during his time with the Patriots, and he hopes that bringing in players from an organization that has been so successful can help propel the Dolphins into the Super Bowl.
