The playoff division round has ended. Which means we now have the first 27 teams in the 2021 NFL Draft in place. We are reduced to four teams, which means that all teams, except four, solidified their status in the first phase. What better time for an NFL Draft Mock 2021!
After biting the nails between the Browns and Chiefs and the harsh defeat of Lamar Jackson and the Ravens, a victory for Aaron Rodgers and the Packers and a revenge game for Tom Brady and the Bucs, the Browns, Ravens, Rams and Saints are on finally members of #draftszn. When new teams enter the recruitment season, a simulated draft must be written. It is difficult to watch your team lose and then turn around and immediately look at the draft, but this is how your team will run another race next year, and this is very important.
This is a good simulated draft of three rounds, which means that all thirty-two NFL teams have a choice in this draft. Some teams have few choices and some teams have many. No matter the amount of choices, the draft is the best way to acquire young talent to fill the squad of teams. Some teams look at positional needs, others just choose the best player available, but all seek to select the players they feel will most impact their team.
Draft is not an exact science, so I hope this simulated draft will help you think of some scenarios for your favorite team!
1. Jacksonville Jaguars: Trevor Lawrence, QB, Clemson
There shouldn’t be a conversation with this choice. Trevor Lawrence is the best quarterback in the 2021 NFL Draft class and has been since his real first year. From the point of view of pure talent, no one else comes close. From a technical point of view, he is alone at the top. Trevor Lawrence is the complete package.
Newly hired coach Urban Meyer is officially saying that he believes Lawrence is the best defender in college football, so that shouldn’t be a very difficult choice. Lawrence can join this offensive and show how explosive it can be with all its pieces.

2. New York Jets: Zach Wilson, QB, BYU
Everyone wanted to see Zach Wilson put on the Kyle Shanahan system in San Francisco, but that must be the next best thing for him. Newly hired coach Robert Saleh hired 49ers pass game coordinator Mike LaFleur to be the new Jets offensive coordinator. Joe Douglas went from Adam Gase to Robert Saleh and Mike LaFluer.
Bringing in an offensive system technician under the command of Shanahan will be useful for whoever the Jets defender will be next year, in which case it is Zach Wilson. With a smart GM and a confident technical team, the Jets are on the right track.
