It only makes sense that the leader of the free world should offer the national treasure Dolly Parton a Presidential Medal of Freedom. “Now I feel that if I accept it, I will be doing politics, so I’m not sure,” Parton mused. “I don’t work for these awards. It would be nice, but I’m not sure I deserve it. But it’s a good compliment for people to think that I deserve it. “
