Dolly Parton has provided the world with iconic songs like “Jolene” and “I Will Always Love You”, but fans will have to wait until 2045 to hear the country star’s “secret song”.
The 74-year-old actress revealed in her new book “Songteller: My Life in Lyrics” that she has an unpublished and unpublished track locked up at Dollywood’s DreamMore Resort.
The idea of the surprise came from his team as a marketing project. The music is supposedly sealed in a chestnut wood box (built by his uncle) in a glass showcase.
“It would be a song that would never be heard until 30 years from the moment we opened the resort. They said, ‘You’ll be dead for a long time,’ ”wrote Parton, according to the Taste of Country. “I said, ‘Well, maybe not. I’m going to be 99. I’ve seen people live to be older than that. ‘

“It’s like burying one of my kids, putting him on ice or something, and I’m not going to be around to see that brought back to life,” described the composer. “It just burns me up inside that I have to leave it there.”
Parton revealed that the mysterious music is recorded on a CD and there is also a CD player inside the trunk … just in case.

“Hopefully, it will play and the whole thing is not rotten,” she joked.

“Anyway, it’s kind of weird or strange that they asked me to write this mysterious song,” she recalled. “I don’t know if I want to live to be 100 or not. But you never know. I can, and if I want, I’ll be at this debut.”
Dollywood opened in 1986 in eastern Tennessee. The theme park offers rides, memorabilia, theaters and a water park and is one of Parton’s most proud achievements.

“Dollywood is one of the biggest dreams I’ve ever had,” Parton told News 24 earlier. “I’m so proud of it that I can’t even begin to tell you. Dollywood is really special for me ”.
