Dogecoin rises more than 36% after Snoop Dogg becomes Snoop DOGE

The price of dogecoin cryptocurrency meme (DOGE) skyrocketed by more than 36% on Sunday, after American rapper Snoop Dogg a day earlier joined DOGE head booster Elon Musk and Kiss rock star Gene Simmons to send a meme of Shiba Inu, the breed of dogs that represents the DOGE token.

The price of cryptocurrency started trading around $ 0.56 earlier in the day and rose to $ 0.069 on Sunday morning, before returning to $ 0.068, up more than 34% in the past 24 hours, a DOGE mustache from the all-time high of $ 0.078. Year-to-date, DOGE grew by more than 1,100%.

At 19:54 UTC on Saturday, the rap artist tweeted the following:

At 07:41 UTC on Sunday, Musk, who, when not busy driving DOGE, also serves as CEO of Tesla, tweeted a photo inspired by the Lion King holding Simmons holding Snoop Dogg, who in turn is holding a Shiba Inu.

Pop music star Kevin Jonas also tweeted on Saturday night, adding his support for the currency.

So far, Jonas has not yet been added to the Lion King of Musk meme, which, frankly, is a shame that it was DOGE.
