On Tuesday night, the Dodgers sneaked on the MLB stove announcing the rehiring of packhorse reliever Blake Treinen for a 2-year deal. The move continued a series of shrewd additions to the LA bullpen for 2021, including former All-Star member Corey Knebel, among others.
The Dodger bullpen was one of the best in baseball in 2020, leading the National League with an ERA of 2.74. Of course, Treinen was a key member of that relief core anchored by longtime Kenley Jansen. Along with a powerful offensive attack, the Dodgers led baseball in victories towards the World Series title last season.
With the opportunity to return to the World Series 2021 favorites, Blake Treinen jumped.

The Dodgers have been particularly quiet in this off-season, apparently in control of their own rumors in terms of rumors. As the winter progressed, it seemed that the union between Los Angeles and Treinen would be perfect. However, the two sides were working together for a longer future together.

While the appeaser admits that other, perhaps more lucrative, opportunities were out there on the open market, LA was the place he wanted to be at least for the next few seasons.
Treinen joins Jansen, Knebel, Joe Kelly, Brusdar Graterol, Dylan Floro, as well as minor league signers Jimmy Nelson and Brandon Morrow as right-handed options for the Dodger bullpen as they seek to defend their title in 2021.
