Dodger Stadium vaccination site closed amid protests

The Dodger Stadium mass vaccination site, COVID-19, was closed on Saturday afternoon, when dozens of protesters gathered at the entrance, paralyzing hundreds of drivers who were waiting in line for hours.

The Los Angeles Fire Department closed the stadium entrance at around 2 pm as a precaution, officials said.

The protesters included members of anti-vaccine and far-right groups. While some carried signs condemning the COVID-19 vaccine and shouting for people not to get vaccines, there were no incidents of violence.

“This is completely wrong,” said German Jaquez, who drove from his home in La Verne and had been waiting an hour for vaccinations when the stadium gates were closed. He said some of the protesters were telling people in the queue that the coronavirus is not real and that vaccination is dangerous.

“This is the wrong message,” said Jaquez. “I have been waiting for an appointment for weeks. I am a dentist; I’m at great risk of being around patients. I want to be safe for my patients and my family. The vaccine is the only way to beat the virus. “

An official said the fire department plans to reopen the vaccination post at around 3 pm. The place, one of the largest in the country, usually opens from 8 am to 8 pm.

A post on social media described the demonstration as “PROTEST SCAMDEMIC / MARCH”. Participants are advised “please avoid wearing Trump / MAGA outfits, as we want our statement to resonate with the sheeple. No flags, just informational signs.

“This is a protest of information sharing and march against everything COVID, Vaccine, PCR tests, Lockdowns, Masks, Fauci, Gates, Newsom, China, digital tracking, etc.”
