DJI’s first FPV (first-person view) drone wasn’t much of a secret for months – but an unboxing video now shows the new quadcopter, controller and FPV glasses from virtually every angle (via OsitaLV)
Although the prominent stickers “NOT FOR SALE” and “DISPLAY DEMO” on the box and on the controller suggest that some details may change before a supposed launch in March, we can clearly see a set of front and downward facing cameras that are likely to avoid sensor obstacles , in addition to the large main camera mounted on top of the drone housing.

The battery is a tall rectangular brick that plugs directly into the back, and it looks like the kit comes with a charger and a portable power bank of some kind – although it is unclear which device connects to it.
The new controller design looks more inspired by the gamepad than ever before, with individual sculpted handles for each hand and triggers on the back, but also the now familiar DJI detachable joysticks that fit each handle. Our video presenter also says that the new V2 glasses are lighter than the ones that DJI originally introduced in 2019, even though the design is quite similar.
Unfortunately, there are no images of a real flight yet, and I would not expect the group that shot this video (Dominion Drones) to provide one soon: there is no trace of the video on the company’s YouTube channel, and this copy comes to us via SpiderMonkeyFPV. It looks like someone is in trouble.
If you want some footage from the DJI drone now, and you don’t care if it’s FPV … can I suggest analyzing my colleague Vjeran’s video on the DJI Mini 2? It’s very cute:
