The NC State men’s basketball team will not have senior striker DJ Funderburk on Sunday against Syracuse due to university policy, according to a team tweet.

With guard Devon Daniels out for the season, Funderburk is Wolfpack’s top scorer among active players. Funderburk has averaged 11.9 points and 4.9 rebounds per game this season, and he will be missed by the Pack when Sunday 9-5 Orange starts at the Carrier Dome.

With Funderburk out, expect bigger roles for freshmen Ebenezer Dowuona and Jaylon Gibson, as both are likely to face more minutes on Sunday behind centerman Manny Bates.

Orange and Wolfpack will warn in Syracuse at 6 pm on the ACC Network.
