The divorce documents from Kanye West and Kim Kardashian reveal that they do not appear to have officially separated yet, as the date remains ‘TBD’ – to be decided.
The divorce papers, which were filed on behalf of Kim on February 22, cited ‘irreconcilable differences’ as the reason for the split of the celebrity couple.
The date of separation, however, remains set in the eyes of the court. The separation date may become a point of contention when dividing the assets, but Kim and Kanye have a prenuptial agreement in place that should govern the issue.

Kim and Kanye decided to go their own way after nine years together
The divorce petition, according to Entertainment Tonight, reveals Kim is seeking joint and legal custody of the couple’s four children.
She is also requesting that marital support be terminated as an option for either party to the divorce.
“The split is friendly and there is no drama,” a source shared with DailyMail.com after the divorce was made public.
Money is no problem, as Kim is worth almost $ 800 million thanks to his different make-up and beauty products, while Kanye is worth about $ 1.3 billion.
The tension between Kanye and Kim started to increase in July, when Kanye decided to run for president.

During this campaign, an increasingly erratic Kanye called Kris Jenner ‘Kris Jong Un’ and engaged in a rant about wanting his wife to have an abortion early in the marriage.
Kanye and Kim started dating in 2012 and became engaged in 2013 before getting married in a sumptuous ceremony in May 2014.
The divorce is the first for West and the third for Kim, who was already married to Damon Thomas from 2000 to 2004 and Kris Humphries from 2011 to 2013.
In recent months, the children have been seen mostly with Kim in Hidden Hills, California, where the family owns a $ 60 million mansion.
Meanwhile, there is a ranch in Cody, Wyoming, where Kanye is staying while the ex-couple works in the property division.
Kim reportedly stopped wearing her wedding ring in November. She and Kanye sought marriage counseling to try to work things out, but that was not enough to prevent divorce.
The two have had little contact since October, when they argued during her 40th birthday party, held at The Brando resort in Polynesia.

On Tuesday, Kim went to the single city for the first time, going to Matsuhisa, one of the sights in Beverly Hills with sister Kourtney and some friends.
Kim is being represented by divorce attorney Laura Wasser in the lawsuit.
The Sunday Mirror reported that the final season of Keeping up with the Kardashians is likely to document the divorce.
