Ubisoft shared details about what to expect from The Division 2 in 2021. The plans include a new mode that, according to the development team, will be unlike anything we’ve seen in the series so far. But as Ubisoft recently decided to continue developing new content for the game, the timing of the releases will be slightly different.
Ubisoft did not share what the new mode is, but said it will be “entirely new to the franchise” and is also working on new ways to help keep players’ character builds renewed as they continue to play the game’s existing content. . The content of Season 5 that will arrive in the game soon will, in fact, be a return of the content of Season 1, allowing those who have not received certain rewards to finally earn it. The goal is to keep players engaged while the development team, which now includes Ubisoft Bucharest alongside Ubisoft Massive, works on entirely new content.

As part of the announcement, Ubisoft has also shared some statistics about the game so far. In the entire franchise, there were 40 million players, and one agent in the game has revived others more than 27,000 times. There were also 156 billion shots to the head and an agent managed to climb over 36,000 floors at The Summit site.
There hasn’t been any indication of a full third Ubisoft game yet, but there was a three-year gap between the first and second games. Ubisoft Massive also already has many projects on its plate, including a new open world Star Wars game and an Avatar game. Essentially, no details have been released on any of the titles, although we know that FoxNext and Lightstorm will be assisting with the Avatar project and will use the same Snowdrop engine as The Division 2.
