The Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California, is set to become the first “super” COVID-19 vaccination site in Orange County, which along the border with Los Angeles County has quickly become one of the areas most affected by the AIDS pandemic. America.
The site will be live and operational later this week, according to the Orange County Board of Supervisors.
“It is important to vaccinate as many people as possible against COVID-19 and we need space for that,” said supervisor Donald P. Wagner in a statement.
Orange County is planning to create five more “super POD” sites for the vaccine – which, according to officials, could vaccinate thousands of Californians a day.
Vaccines on the Disneyland website will be scheduled through a third-party application developed in cooperation with Orange County.
The authorities said that the majority of citizens eligible to receive the vaccine will be contacted through their employers to make an appointment. The Disneyland website does not accept visits without prior notice.
