Planning a trip to Walt Disney World? Be prepared to mask – even if you have been vaccinated against the new coronavirus, according to the company’s recently released safety guidelines.
“Facial coverage is mandatory for all Visitors (from 2 years old) and cast members, including those who received the COVID-19 vaccine,” say the safety guidelines. “Please bring your own face protection and wear it all the time, except for dinner or swimming.”
The guidelines are based on those of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
“There is not enough information available to say whether or when the CDC will stop recommending people to wear masks and avoid close contact with others to help prevent the spread of the virus that causes COVID-19,” even after receiving both. doses of the coronavirus vaccine, the federal agency says on its website.

“Experts need to understand more about the protection that COVID-19 vaccines provide in real-world conditions before making this decision. Other factors, including how many people are vaccinated and how the virus is spreading in communities, will also affect this decision. ” the CDC adds. “We also don’t know whether getting the COVID-19 vaccine will prevent you from spreading the virus that causes COVID-19 to other people, even if you are not sick.”
