Disney’s streaming service now supports the ESPN + package and the ad-free version of the brother Hulu service.
Initially announced during the Disney’s Investor Day event in December, Disney + now offers the option to include Hulu’s premium tier with ESPN + for $ 19 per month, while the package typically costs $ 13 per month with ad-supported Hulu . The new ad-free package option was launched at the end of last week, the company told Gizmodo. Individually, Disney + costs $ 7 a month, ESPN + costs $ 6 a month and Hulu with advertising charges $ 6 a month, which means that you are effectively getting a third free service by bundling the three.
Technically, these package options were already available through Hulu. The company confirmed to Gizmodo in December that subscribers to the package could get Hulu without ads with Disney + and ESPN + if they subscribed to the Hulu website instead of the Disney service. Arriving subscribers will still have to go through Hulu if they want additional options included in their package, such as Hulu with live TV (which also has options for Hulu with or without ads).
However, remember that these prices are set to change. Starting next month, the Disney + package with ad-supported Hulu is expected to rise by a dollar to $ 14 a month, the company announced in December. Disney + alone will also see a price jump from $ 7 to $ 8 starting on March 26 (and from $ 70 to $ 80 a year). There is still no official word on how much the ad-free version of the package will cost when the price changes, a spokesman told Gizmodo this week.
Despite its new price, however, Disney will equate for three services what Netflix subscribers pay for just one in the company’s standard plan. In terms of getting the best return on your investment – accounted price increases – the Disney + package still offers one of the best complete options for the money. Also, you may have heard of this little-known series called The Mandalorian? I heard good things.
