Did Marvel put Mephisto in the last poster?

We are all on board the Mephisto hype train here – or at least this particular writer is. Marvel’s demonic character has been speculated by many to be the puppet master behind the events of WandaVision, even if the theory loses some steam with each passing episode. Still, the Disney marketing team released a new poster for the Disney + show on Monday.

Visible on the poster is an interesting arrangement that looks like a twisted face of evil, leading some to believe that the marketing team at Walt Disney Studios teased the satanic character or at least dropped an Easter egg to take fans of the show.

As you can see in the wallpaper between Vision (Paul Bettany) and Agnes (Kathryn Hahn), you can see what appears to be a face made of flower patterns. Not just the face, but you can see Mephisto’s classic hair and hood as well. Yes, it’s hitting and probably a case of facial pareidolia – but like Fox Mulder, we want to believe it.

Interestingly, the role appears to be the same used in the character’s previous poster with the two main characters in the show, but the same arrangement is missing from him.

An important rumor dashes the hopes of any “puppet master” WandaVision it is the fact that Olsen herself said that the program leaves ambiguous whether or not the program has a villain, at least in the traditional sense.

“Someone told me that when you watch any of these hero films, you know when the villain is about to show off, and you also have an idea of who the villain is. With our show, you don’t know who the villain is, or if there is any, “said Olsen.” Wanda is trying to protect everything in her bubble, to protect what she and Vision have and that experience. I think everything she does is in response to keeping things together. “

“The reason for being a sitcom is shown later in the program,” she added. “When Kevin [Feige] told me, it didn’t look so bizarre. It seemed like a great way to start our story. “

The first four episodes of WandaVision are now broadcasting on Disney +. If you haven’t signed up for Disney + yet, you can try it out here.
