Diablo 2: date of the resurrected technical alpha, classes announced

From April 9th, some Diablo fans will be able to play the Diablo 2 remaster, Diablo 2: Risen, as part of an “alpha technical” test, Blizzard announced on Tuesday. A small group of players who have opted for the alpha test through the Blizzard website will receive an invitation later this week. The trial period runs until Monday, April 12th.

O Diablo 2: resurrected The technical alpha does not allow cooperative play (it is only for one player) and presents three of the seven classes of the game: Bárbaro, Amazona and Feiticeira. Fans and some streamers will be able to play the first two acts of Diablo 2: resurrected, including the fight against Chief Duriel.

Although this alpha is for one player only and has a limited number of classes available, there will be no level limit. Dedicated players will be able to test a fully enhanced version of the three available classes if they have the patience and time to take them to the maximum level.

Blizzard also promised an alpha test focused on multiplayer in late 2021.

Blizzard originally announced Diablo 2: resurrected at your BlizzConline event earlier this year. The remaster is exactly the Diablo 2 fans remember everything, completely revitalized with 4K graphics and Dolby Surround sound. Blizzard has not announced a release date for Diablo 2: resurrected, but it will arrive on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows PC, Xbox One and Xbox Series X.
