The Ravens were not expected to bring Dez Bryant in anyway, but the receiver made it clear in one series of tweets Tuesday night, he has no interest in returning.
Bryant, 32, played six games, making six receptions for 47 yards and two touchdowns, on his return to football after two years out of the game.
“I realized that fast Baltimore was not the place for me,” wrote Bryant. “No bad blood. This is their way of doing things, so you have to respect it. “
Bryant said he plans to play two more seasons “and that’s it for me”. The question is, will anyone else give him a chance?
The Ravens finished last in the league on passes, with Bryant behind Marquise Brown, Miles Boykin and Willie Snead at the depth table. Bryant threw 129 clicks. He never got more than 28 yards in a game and missed the team’s two playoff games, playing nine snaps in each game.
“It’s hard,” wrote Bryant. “I’ve been gone for almost three years. I showed my skills to the point [Ravens coach John] Harbaugh asked if I was ready to play because he thought I was ready … You have to learn the manual … chemistry with QB has to be on time. “
Bryant said he was grateful for the opportunity, was not concerned with the game time and had fun.
