Details on Carter Reum’s Paris Hilton Engagement Ring

Paris Hilton is engaged – and bringing a very special new shine.

Venture capitalist Carter Reum proposed on Saturday, while celebrating the 40th birthday of the businessman and DJ on a private island, presenting her with an emerald-cut diamond engagement ring to stop the show.

“My love went above and beyond in every way,” wrote Hilton on her website. “He chose Jean Dousset, the great-great-grandson of Louis-François Cartier, to design an incredibly beautiful ring that seems to be lit from the inside.”

It appears that the giant diamond, which also features two trapezoidal stones flanking the central diamond, as well as dozens of smaller stones across the intricate setting, was inspired by Paris landmarks, including the Grand Palais and the Eiffel Tower.

Hilton shared a YouTube video of his personalized ring – called “Paris”, of course – being handpainted in Dousset’s studio.

Reum apparently spared no expense on his girlfriend’s diamond; according to Shannon Delany-Ron, director of communications at JamesAllen.com, the ring “appears to be at least 10 carats, with a price likely starting at around $ 1 million”.

Kathryn Money, senior vice president of merchandising and retail expansion at Brilliant Earth, agreed with the estimate, telling Page Six Style that the center diamond could easily be between 15 and 20 carats.

And Mike Fried, CEO of Diamond Pro, risked an even greater assessment: “I would say it decreased the $ 2 million that his last ring was worth,” the gem expert told Page Six Style, calling it “a gigantic enterprise of the jeweler ”And a“ masterpiece of design ”.

More photos of Hilton and Reum’s engagement are available at ParisHilton.com, and we’ve been informed that the social media superstar will share more details about her birthday weekend in the debut episode of her iHeartRadio podcast, “This Is Paris”, in February 22.
