Destruction AllStars Devs Aware of Voice Chat Problems, with the goal of announcing update plans this week

Destruction AllStars, the new destruction derby game for the PlayStation 5, has finally been released, but players are finding that cars are not the only things that collide in this game. Voices are also because Destruction AllStars enables voice communications via DualSense PS5 by default. Now the developers say they are working on a solution. When you enter a Destruction AllStars game, the entire lobby automatically enters voice chat with other players. If you don’t have a microphone or headset, don’t worry because Destruction AllStars uses the DualSense controller as your default microphone and headset.

Now on Reddit, Lucid Games has announced that it is working on a fix for the “ASAP” group voice and chat settings. In a post posted by Lucid’s community manager, an update to voice communications will arrive sometime this week, Thursday or Friday.

In the meantime, the developers advise players who don’t want to try free voice chat to hit the PlayStation button and then the square on the group’s chat card. From there, players can silence voice chat when they join a game or create a private chat.

You will need to do this every time you enter a new game, so it is more of a temporary solution than a complete fix.

Destruction AllStars was originally announced as a PS5 release title. However, it has been delayed until now, where PlayStation 5 owners can get the game for free as part of this month’s PS Plus offerings. The delay was beneficial to the developers, since Destruction AllStars is a competitive online game, it made sense to reach the largest possible audience through PS Plus. And the delay allowed developers more time to strengthen the network’s back-end for approaching players.
