Destiny 2’s Hawkmoon Rolls and Catalyst Quest is live, how to beat it

Okay, I’ve been busy playing, sorry it’s a little late, but I realized I’m probably not I will go solo on this new mission and I will have to recruit a team to make a better attempt, although I have 1280 horsepower, which the mission does not seem to mind.

The secret Hawkmoon mission is live, which will give us the catalyst for the weapon and random moves, although it is extremely long and difficult and you will probably fail long before we fully discover this thing.

So here are the steps I’ve taken so far, and although it stopped just before the end, I’ll update that part later.

Before you do anything, go talk to Crow. It is not marked on the map, but it will have a new mission for you that looks very clear when you enter its menu, an exotic type symbol

Then, you have to go to the secret fireplace tunnel directly opposite the EDZ Trostland spawn on the second side of the building, which only opens when fired with Hawkmoon. You will then see a “Start Mission” trigger on the side, just after entry.

This starts a mission that will make you hunt three emissaries, and that part is very confusing at first.

You will kill a single Possessed Hobgoblin and … not really know where to go. Jump to where he is and look down towards the dam. There will be a tree branch that will let you land on it, and then you want to jump into the dam and land on its little pipe ends. You can make your way along small ledges in the middle of the dam, where there will be an open hatch where you can enter.

After that, the next section shows you hunting down three conquered emissaries. You will damage one, it will pass through a rust-protected door, you kill it and then return to the main room. Do this three times and you will be instructed to “Follow the Falcon”.

The Hawk takes you to the Crow’s Nest mission chief’s room, where you need to survive waves of enemies, including some unstoppable phalanges, and everything has Nightfall shields. All the enemies on this mission are difficult and that’s when I realized that I can’t do it alone.

But after clearing this, you will find a new path that leads to the original Hawkmoon mission section of EDZ, where you will re-execute most of it in the same way that it will end with a fight against the original Hawkmoon boss. Your reward is the catalyst and the randomly rolled Hawkmoons with a long list of possible advantages. I’m not sure how many times this can be done per week for drops like this.

Is it like Zero Hour? Yes….? It is at least very close and very difficult. You will almost certainly need a team for this, unless you are a god, so keep this in mind so you don’t have to give up halfway as I did.

More to come, but for now, big moves and something meaningful and challenging is finally here.

Update: Okay, I won and won two drops, plus the catalyst, including the only privilege I wanted:
