Destiny 2: Season of the Chosen gets new exotic bow, exotic armor

Destiny twoSeason of the Chosen is finally here, and the Guardians can venture into the world of Destiny to pick up some powerful new pieces of equipment. In addition to some Legendary weapons and armor, Season of the Chosen adds at least five new Exotics – although one is still hidden.

Here is a look at the four Exotics already in the Season of the Chosen and everything we know about the fifth.

Ticuu Divination

Ticuu Divination is the new weapon of the Season Pass in the Season of the Chosen.

Your main Exotic privilege is Sacred Flame. When the Guardians shoot arrows from the hip, they become tracking missiles that lodge in enemies. If an enemy dies with those Sacred Flame arrows housed in them, they explode, igniting other Sacred Flame arrows nearby.

Players can also manually detonate arrows with the Causality Arrows privilege. When aiming for aim, players can detonate any arrow they hit, triggering a chain reaction. If players time the draw of their arrows perfectly, the detonation of the Holy Flame is even more powerful.

Cuirass of the Falling Star

Cuirass of the Falling Star for Titans is the long-awaited Thundercrash Exotic. Its primary privilege, Glorious Charge, “greatly increases” the Thundercrash’s impact damage. Players will also gain excessive protection and can increase their duration by traveling further with their Thundercrash.

We won’t know how good it is until we can get our hands on it, but it looks like it might be the Celestial Night Hawk, but by the Titan’s Missile Code.

Omnioculus

Omnioculus for Hunters seems to be a powerful tool for difficult content, like Grandmaster Nightfalls. Its plus, in addition to the Veil, gives Void Hunters a second Smoke Bomb charge and reduces damage taken while invisible. This damage resistance also extends to allies, making them invisible. Hunters also return some melee energy when making allies invisible.

This Warlock Exotic also looks like a powerful tool for Grandmaster Nightfalls. Its advantage, Absorption Cells, causes deaths with weapons that have an element corresponding to its subclass to grant bonus Superenergy. If your Super is full, these kills give you a damage bonus for the element provided.

This is a potentially powerful tool for Solar Wizards in difficult content like raids and Nightfalls – as Well of Radiance Warlocks tend to hold their Supers until they are needed.

Tex Mechanica Exotic quest

Destiny 2 Season of the Chosen Exotic quest abandoned ship

Bungie associates this ship with an upcoming Exotic mission

On the Season of the Chosen website, Bungie teased players with an “edited” Exotic mission entry in the equipment section. The mission also does not appear on the Chosen Season script.

The mission icon shows what appears to be the Tex Mechanica logo – the weapon maker behind The Chaperone, Last Word and Huckleberry. It also looks like there is Stasis around the logo.

We don’t know what that weapon is or when it will appear. But since Bungie hasn’t even given us a name, there’s reason to believe that it’s a weapon we’ve heard about. That and the connection to Tex Mechanica leaves some speculating that it is The First Curse, a powerful PvP hand cannon from the original Destiny. Although information from a Destiny data miner suggests that it is an entirely new weapon.

Players will have to wait and see what this weapon is, but Bungie’s images for the press associate an abandoned ship in space with the next Exotic mission.
