Destiny 2 season 13 will have relaunched Forsaken and Shadowkeep weapons

In the first post of the year on Bungie’s blog, the studio returned some Destiny 2the weapon and armor of, falling at the end of last year. Starting in February, players can regain some ancient armor and weapons in the City of Dreams and the Moon.

Beginning with the 13th season – due for release on February 9, according to the game countdown – eight weapons and two sets of armor will return from Abandoned and Shadowkeep. Players who already have these weapons or pieces of armor will need to recover them in their unlimited forms.

  • Awake Vigil, Insomnia, Vouchsafe and Retelling Tale of the City of Dreams
  • Heretic, Blasphemer and Apostate of the Moon
  • The premonition will also be on the Moon, but exclusively for the dungeon of the Heresy Pit
  • The Reverie Dawn armor set from the City of Dreams
  • The Dreambane Armor of the City of Dreams

According to the Bungie blog post, it appears that players can obtain rolls never seen before from these weapons from their respective dungeons – Shattered Throne in the City of Dreams and Heresy Pit on the Moon. The pieces of armor will also fall with very high stats of the dungeons.

Bungie ended this section of its blog post by saying that not all weapons from older destinations like these will return to looting. But with these reissues, players should have more reason to spend time on the Moon or the City of Dreams. This announcement was made after some major frustrations occurring in the Destiny community afterBeyond the light.

When Destination 2: Beyond the Light launched last November, Bungie implemented its infusion coverage system. Players could no longer infuse weapons older than one year. Infusion is a process that involves feeding a high-powered weapon into a low-powered weapon, causing the low-powered weapon to gain strength. For activities that require high levels of power, such as Trials of Osiris raids, or Nightfalls, these older weapons have become virtually useless.

Almost all weapons in the Abandoned and Shadowkeep expansions saw an infusion limit in November, although both expansions are still on sale. This caused a point of frustration in that new players have no incentives to serve to play through these expansions, which means that they can spend their money just to get some exotic missions and no legendary serves.

Destiny twoGame director Luke Smith recently told Polygon that the studio is looking for ways to improve sunsetting. Although the studio still considers it necessary, it is causing some pain points and unexpected behavior in the community. Bungie will continue to iterate at sunset throughout the year.
