Destiny 2 fans make inroads of 12 players, thanks to a new flaw

Destiny two it does not require the same large groups as a traditional MMO. In most content, players will face challenges as teams of three to six Guardians. But over the weekend, players discovered a new wild bug that allowed 12-player attacks on Destiny 2. This is double the Guardians and double the chaos. This trick works for raids, as well as dungeons and Nightfalls.

The bug is relatively easy to explain, but requires a precise amount of time to run. There are two Fireteams: Fireteam A and Fireteam B. The leader of Fireteam A needs to select the raid or activity that everyone wants to do, while the leader of Fireteam B needs to open the menu to join the leader of Fireteam A (without actually hitting the join ).

Once the leaders are in position, players can join in both Fireteams, until each player has a total of six players. Fireteam A then needs to start the activity. When the countdown is in two seconds, Fireteam B needs to join Fireteam A, selecting the option to take their players with them. After a brief hiccup in zero seconds, both squadrons A and B will begin to load the activity, and they will all be born at the checkpoint together.

This flaw obviously trivializes Destiny’s most difficult content. Bosses melt like butter when 12 players hit them with The Lament or Anarchy, and the Guardians obliterate absolutely everything in their path. The game holds up surprisingly well with so many players – as you can see in the video above – and the Guardians seem to be having a lot of fun using the glitch to go out with larger groups of friends.

Despite the fun, this is obviously a failure. Bungie is aware of the problem – which we know from a Cheeky tweet from Bungie’s senior community manager, dmg04 – and will probably fix it soon. However, the studio is currently busy with another major flaw, which forced the developer to disable the Trials of Osiris this weekend.

But until Bungie resolves the 12-player bug, there is nothing to stop players from venturing into the Deep Stone Crypt with twice as many Guardians.
