Destiny 2 causes new Trials of Osiris armor for season 13

Destiny 2 the 13th season will bring a new Trials of Osiris armor with it, and Bungie started causing that loot on Friday some images posted on the game’s Twitter account.

The weekly Bungie blog post on Thursday guided players on some new features coming to the Destiny 2 in its next season, which starts on February 9th. And now, the studio has given players a loot update for Trials of Osiris. This came as a surprise to many, as players did not expect the Trials of Osiris rewards set to change until season 14.

Osiris’ trials have returned to Destiny 2 with Season of the Worthy last year, Destiny 2spring season. Bungie originally planned that the current trial loot would last until the spring of 2021, and a full year has not yet passed. However, because of Destination 2: Beyond the Lightwith the delay, season 13 now falls into the strange position of being a hybrid winter / spring season; had Beyond the light released on time, players would be preparing for the 14th season in March.

This change in weather is easy to see when we look at the “sunset” power level for Trials’ current weapons and armor pieces. Players can only increase current Trial items to the 1360 power level, while the current Season 11 limit is 1260. This means that players will be able to continue using their old Trial weapons until at least the end of Season 13. – and potentially more, depending on how much the maximum power increases next season.

We have not seen this type of overlap before with the demise of weapons, as weapons should only last 12 months with this new system.

As for the draft itself, the images are too dark to definitively identify their origins. But the armor pieces have an ornate appearance and it looks like players will be dealing with the Cabal empire again from season 13. These armor silhouettes match that aesthetic.

It is also not confirmed that new weapons from Trials of Osiris will accompany this armor set. But current weapon and armor sets expire at 1360 horsepower, suggesting that we will have replacements at the same time.

Players will learn more about Destiny 2 season 13 – and probably take a look at the plunder of Trials of Osiris – when Bungie launches the reveal trailer on February 2.
