Destination PS5 refueling report reveals when next drop is happening

A new PS5 refueling report states that PlayStation players still looking for the next generation console can still get one before 2021, courtesy of Target. In recent days, PS5 refueling has been almost nonexistent. From Amazon to Walmart, Best Buy and GameStop, no one had a PS5 this week. However, it looks like Target is about to launch another round of shares before the end of 2020, or so a new report says.

According to the report, which is on its way to the Spiel Times, Target stores across the country have now received 10 to 15 console units, while other stores are forecasting new inventory to enter this Sunday, December 27.

At the moment, there is no information on when exactly these stocks will be launched, and it is unclear whether it will be nationwide. However, if some stores are not receiving their refueling by the end of the weekend, it probably means that the refueling will not happen until next week, probably on Monday or Tuesday.

While stores are apparently taking stock of the PS5 this weekend, you still won’t be able to buy anything at the store. Your only way to protect any part of that inventory is through online purchase. If you can protect a console in this way, you can pick it up at the store or send it to your home.

As the Spiel Times notes, Target refills typically take place between 3 am and 7 am EST, and like any other online retailer, each refuel usually comes with site problems and attracts many bots to compete.

As for the report itself, take it with caution. Although it mentions several sources, Target itself has yet to announce anything. And, of course, even though the inventory is arriving this weekend, it does not mean that it will be sold before the end of the year.
