A lawsuit was filed against Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson, alleging sexual assault, according to a report on Tuesday.
Houston’s attorney Tony Buzbee told FOX 26 that Watson was receiving a massage from a woman when the quarterback “went too far”.
Buzbee, who originally announced the lawsuit in a Facebook post, gave no further details. The broadcaster said the lawsuit was filed on behalf of a masseuse.

Watson responded to the lawsuit on social media on Tuesday, saying he hopes to clear his name.
“As a result of a social media post made by a plaintiff’s attorney seeking publicity, I recently became aware of a lawsuit that apparently was brought against me,” wrote Watson on Twitter. “I haven’t seen the complaint yet, but I know it: I’ve never treated any woman with anything other than the utmost respect.”

“The plaintiff’s lawyer states that it is not about money, but before filing the lawsuit [the] He made an unsubstantiated six-digit liquidation request, which I quickly rejected. Unlike him, it’s not about money for me – it’s about clearing my name, and I’m looking forward to doing that, ”he continued.
Watson’s future with the team that recruited him in 2017 has been a great storyline during the off-season. Houston has been adamant about not negotiating it, despite the quarterback’s desired interest in leaving the Texans.

The Texans agreed to a one-year contract with quarterback Tyrod Taylor on Tuesday. Taylor will be considered an insurance policy if the team ends up finding a favorable deal for Watson and decides to change it, ESPN reported.
