Deshaun Watson faces civil assault charges as two lawsuits are filed

Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson is facing further assault charges as a second civil lawsuit against the NFL player was opened on Wednesday.

Tony Buzbee, the lawyer representing women who accuse Watson of misconduct, revealed in an Instagram post that more lawsuits were being filed against Watson.

“My associate, Cornelia, and I are going to open the second of what are now four cases on behalf of women against Deshaun Watson today. The cases allege aggression. We will not share the details alleged here, and we will not judge the case in the press, but the cases are publicly filed for all to see. I appreciate the supportive calls we’ve received from those who support these brave women, ”wrote Buzbee on Instagram.

“It takes a lot of courage to face the powerful when you are perceived as powerless. Since I opened the first case yesterday, I have received several death threats and several people have harassed my children. The victim (or his lawyers) are to blame. alive and well !! I love football as much as anyone else (although I’ve never been a fan of Texans) But I don’t love it too much !! It makes me shake my head because people are so passionate about football to the point of irrationality, while at the same time they could care less about who the mayor or president is. “

Two lawsuits were filed earlier in Harris County, Texas – one filed on Tuesday and the other on Wednesday.

In the lawsuit filed on Tuesday, the woman identified only as Jane Doe detailed Watson, asking him to give her a massage for relaxation instead of a sports massage. She made an effort to expand her local business, although she was not a specialist in this type of massage. According to the process, the two scheduled the massage for March 30, 2020, at Jane Doe’s home.

Watson reportedly “started to aggressively dictate how he wanted the massage to be performed” when the session started. Jane Doe said Watson told her to just “use her hands” and “repeatedly stated that he wanted her to focus on the groin area”.

Jane Doe said Watson’s alleged comments had started to make her “extremely uncomfortable”.

“It was clear that Watson wanted a massage for just one reason – sex. Frightened, a little confused and not wanting to upset the much larger and more athletic Watson, the Claimant did not know what to do. She did not want to confront Watson, because she feared for her security or possible retaliation or damage to your fledgling business. At the same time, she wanted the massage to end and wanted it out of her home, “says the lawsuit.

Although he allegedly complained that she was not massaging him the way he wanted, the lawsuit says that Watson “purposefully exposed the tip of his penis under the towel” and was “fully erect”.

“As a result of his hip movement, Watson purposely touched the Claimant’s hand with the tip of his erect penis,” according to the lawsuit.

Jane Doe said she started to cry and asked Watson to leave, to which the defender supposedly replied: “I know you have a career and a reputation, and I know you would hate for someone to mess with yours, just as I don’t want to. anyone messing with mine. “

In the second lawsuit, opened on Wednesday, the woman also identified as Jane Doe, claimed that Watson took her from Atlanta to Houston to perform the massage on August 28, 2020.

At the hotel where the massage took place, the lawsuit says that “Watson immediately went completely naked and stood on the massage table with his penis exposed” and, when asked to cover himself, Watson refused. Jane Doe claimed that Watson redirected her to her anus during the massage, making her uncomfortable. She claimed that she continued to do the massage because she is a single mother and needed the business and the money.

In addition, the woman claimed that Watson guided her towards the genitals during the massage and claimed that he “grabbed her hand” when she started to walk away. She then told him that she needed to return to Atlanta abruptly and left the hotel. Watson reportedly paid only half of what was owed, but she did not reach for the other half. The quarterback reportedly contacted “months later” when he was in Atlanta, but Jane Doe did not respond.

In both cases, Watson is accused of civil assault.

Watson responded to the first lawsuit, which surfaced on Tuesday.

“As a result of a social media post made by a plaintiff’s attorney seeking publicity, I recently became aware of a lawsuit that apparently was brought against me,” wrote Watson on Twitter. “I haven’t seen the complaint yet, but I know it: I’ve never treated any woman with anything other than the utmost respect.”

The Texans said they were “aware” of the first civil suit.
