Deshaun Watson defended by Randy Moss amid the Houston Texans drama

Houston Texans’ Deshaun Watson made it clear that he is extremely upset with his team this off-season, with several vehicles reporting that Watson believed he would be consulted about the process of hiring a new coach and general manager.

The Texans then hired Nick Caserio from the Patriots and, through a series of tweets, Watson made it clear that he is not satisfied. Not at all. With everything going on in Houston.

Randy Moss, an outspoken player during his own career in the Hall of Fame, spoke on ESPN, saying that Watson had every right to make his anger publicly known, because the Texans had deceived him and failed him for years.

“Shut up and play,” said Moss, “we’re done with that era.”

Moss went back to Watson’s debut year to show how the Texans franchise has repeatedly let him down, from the late owner’s remarks about “prisoners controlling the prison” to the team’s decision to negotiate one of the league’s best wide receivers at DeAndre Hopkins.

As Moss noted, Watson did nothing but keep his head down and work hard, despite everything Houston had done … until they tricked him into involving him in the search for a new GM and trainer.

They crossed it again, Moss argues, and Watson has every right to talk about it.
