Derrick Henry reaches the 2,000 yard mark while the Titans win the AFC South crown

Hand Derrick Henry his crown: he is the eighth player in NFL history to run 2,000 yards.

Henry, who entered the game with 1,777 racing yards, ran for 250 yards, the record of his career, taking the Tennessee Titans to a 41-38 victory over the Houston Texans, winning their first AFC South title since 2008.

Henry ended the season with 2,027 run yards, the fifth best run total in a season. He is the first player to accomplish the feat since Adrian Peterson had 2,097 in 2012.

Quarterback Ryan Tannehill connected with wide receiver AJ Brown for a 52-yard reception just after Houston equalized 18 seconds from the end of the fourth period.

Newcomer kicker Sam Sloman hit a 37-yard field goal that rebounded vertically to give the Titans victory at the end of time.

Tannehill shot for 216 yards and a touchdown and ran for two more scores.

The Titans will host the Baltimore Ravens in the playoff wild-card round next weekend.

Indianapolis will travel to Buffalo and Cleveland will visit Pittsburgh to complete the remaining AFC playoff games.
