COUNTY OF SPARTANBURG, SC (WYFF) – A woman from Spartanburg County was arrested after deputies said she forced a child to have sex with her, according to documents from the Sheriff’s Office.
Christina Claire Donahue, 37, of Cowpens, was arrested on Tuesday, February 9, according to the Spartanburg County Detention Center website. She faces a charge of second-degree criminal sexual conduct with a child aged 11 to 14, the warrants show.
Warrants say the child was beaten last year between January 5 and July 22, and the crime was reported in September. During an evening bail hearing, Donahue’s lawyer said she surrendered to the police on Tuesday morning.
The judge set Donahue’s bail at $ 15,000. She was also ordered to have GPS monitoring and not have contact with the victim or family members. Donahue’s next court hearing will be on April 22.
