Denmark is expected to present a government-sponsored coronavirus vaccine passport in coordination with airlines earlier this year, revealed a Danish national broadcaster.
The Danish Ministry of Health will launch the Covid-19 vaccine passport, which can be downloaded and printed from a public health website, the government said in an email to the Danish Broadcasting Corporation on Friday.
“It is expected that there may be requirements from other countries for the presentation of vaccine documentation at the entrance. Here, a Danish vaccine passport can be used, ”wrote the Ministry of Health in an email to the broadcaster.
The Danish government said it is “working on a Covid-19 vaccine passport, which is expected to be ready by early 2021.”
The ministry said it would update the form depending on future analysis of how long the vaccine is considered effective against the coronavirus.
The head of the Transport section of the Danish Industry Confederation, Michael Svane, supported the measure, saying: “A vaccination passport is the way to put restrictions behind and, to a much greater extent, get out and fly.”

The idea of vaccination passports has been gaining momentum among elites in Europe and the United Kingdom, with former British Prime Minister Tony Blair calling for the immediate implementation of a “form of health passport”.
“I know all the objections, but it will happen. It is the only way for the world to function and the blockages are no longer the only course of action, ”said Blair.
Some airlines have already admitted that they plan to require vaccination passports for international travel, with Australian Qantas aircraft CEO Alan Joyce saying in November that proof of vaccination would be a “necessity” to fly on the company’s planes.
Internationalist organizations have also been publicizing the idea of vaccine passports, with the World Health Organization (WHO) and the World Economic Forum (WEC) studying the idea.
WHO is currently developing “smart vaccination certificates” that will create digital vaccination documents.
“Having reliable and reliable proof of vaccination for the COVID-19 vaccine will be essential for public health purposes, such as studies on vaccine effectiveness, vaccine impact, monitoring coverage and monitoring adverse events after immunization,” the Regional Office World Health Organization for Europe Newsweek in December.
The World Economic Forum together with the Commons Project has also worked with airlines such as Cathay Pacific, JetBlue, Lufthansa, Swiss Airlines, United Airlines and Virgin Atlantic to develop a “CommonPass” application that would show airlines the vaccination status of travelers in the in the form of a QR code.
