Denmark launched a new children’s program about a man with the longest penis in the world. Yes, 2021 already looks like another wild year.
John Dillermand is an animated series aimed at children aged four to eight who follows a man and his big “pee” – and his big penis often leads him into worrying situations.
In the show’s first episode, for example, John found himself floating over the city after balloons were tied to his groin.
“We think it’s important to be able to tell stories about bodies,” posted the public broadcaster DR on Facebook on Tuesday.
“In the series, we recognize the growing curiosity (of the children) about their bodies and genitals, as well as embarrassment and pleasure with the body.”
The show’s controversial opening title includes the lyrics: ‘He has the longest pee in the world / There’s almost nothing he can’t do with it
‘He has the longest pee in the world / He rocks, he can be a little embarrassed / He can save the world if he has permission.’
Predictably, John Dillermand divided viewers, with some claiming it is inappropriate for children.
‘This is outrageous!’ one smoked on YouTube. ‘Our kids shouldn’t have to witness this, we need to CANCEL this as soon as possible !!!’
Meanwhile, another viewer, no doubt, echoed the thoughts of many and wrote: ‘I can’t believe this is real.’
The Guardian reports that DR responded to criticism of the program saying he could easily have done a program “about a woman without control over her vagina”.
They added that ‘the most important thing was that the kids liked John Dillermand’.
