Denise Richards misses her oldest daughter’s 17th birthday!
The 50-year-old actress shared several photos of the birthday girl, Sam, on Instagram on Wednesday, including a cover photo of PEOPLE magazine announcing her birth!
“I can’t believe that my beautiful little girl is 17 years old !!!! Time flies so fast, so amazed at the beautiful young woman that you have become, ”she captioned the photo.
“Although a part of me would give anything to have those years back when you were little. I appreciate these precious moments. I love you so much, Sami girl. I am so proud of you. You are beyond beautiful inside and out. and so compassionate. I love you my Happy Birthday Sami💕 🎂 “

Richards shares Sami with ex-husband Charlie Sheen. The couple have another daughter together, Lola Rose, 15. Richards adopted his third daughter, Eloise Joni, 9, in 2011.
In 2019, Richards opened PEOPLE’s Celeb Parents Get Real about the values she holds in her heart when it comes to raising her children.
“I think my daughters are going to say that I am a strict mother,” shared Richards, who had previously revealed that he installed security cameras outside his home to prevent Sam from going out to meet boys without his permission.

“I definitely have rules and limits and there are consequences,” said Richards, adding that she doesn’t let her daughters “do what they want.”
Although Bravo’s star admitted that one of her daughters can be “extremely stubborn”, she said she recognizes the positive values in that character trait as well.

“My father said, ‘It may be a challenge now, but when she is an adult, you will be very grateful that she will be a strong woman,'” she explained.
“And that’s when I thought, ‘Okay, this is my daughter’, because I’m sure she was probably a lot like my parents,” added Richards.
