While President Trump continued to condemn the US Senate elections in Georgia as corrupt, Democrats took the lead in the second two rounds, as the vote ended on January 1, according to an analysis of the results from the Atlanta Journal- Constitution.
While state law dictates that no ballots be opened before Tuesday night’s election, Georgia’s biggest newspaper said its review showed that more ballots were made by Democratic-demographic data and came from left-wing parts of the state.
A record total of 3,002,100 initial votes were cast. Black voters – who generally support Democrats in the state in overwhelming numbers – are voting in higher numbers than in the presidential election, the newspaper reported.
Participation in rural and more conservative areas in the state has declined. President Trump is planning a last-minute demonstration on Monday in Dalton in a last-minute effort to rally voters.
“I’ll be in Georgia on Monday night, at 9 pm for RALLY for two great people,
@sendavidperdue & @KLoeffler. PREPARE TO VOTE ON TUESDAY !!! ”, He said in a tweet saturday.
And he continued on Saturday to question the legality of Georgia’s vote.
“Why didn’t they do signature verification in Fulton County, Georgia,” tweeted Trump. “Why didn’t they deduct all the dead people who” voted “, illegal people who voted, non-Georgia residents who voted and tens of thousands of others who voted illegally, from the final vote count?”
Neither of Georgia’s two acting senators, Republicans David Perdue and Kelly Loeffler, secured a majority of the vote in the 2020 Senate elections in November, forcing the two into contention with their Democratic opponents, Rev. Raphael Warnock and Jon Ossoff.
State surveys have shown that both runs are at an impasse.
If Democrats prevail, the United States Senate will be divided equally between Democrats and Republicans, giving liberals de facto control of the chamber, as Dem’s elected vice president, Kamala Harris, would be the tiebreaker in the polls. The House of Representatives will continue to be governed by a Democratic majority for the next two years. With Democrat Joe Biden in the White House, the Dems would control the executive and legislative branches for the first time since 2010.
As everyone runs to the end, Democrats unveil the party’s greatest weapons – including former President Obama and Michelle Obama.
The former first lady recorded an automatic call to Warnock that reached voters on the last day of the early vote and will be repeated again on election day.
“Hello, Georgia. This is Michelle Obama, reminding you that you have the power to change things in the next second round of the Senate, ”she says in the message. “I’m asking you to vote for Reverend Raphael Warnock, because I know he will work with Joe Biden to help make medical care more accessible, and together, they will finally take the coronavirus seriously, providing the economic relief that Georgian families need and helping people get back to work ”.
