Demi Moore talks about Fendi’s surprise appearance on the catwalk

Demi Moore got everyone talking when she opened Fendi’s haute couture show in the spring of 2021 at Paris Fashion Week – and she will never forget her catwalk debut.

“Actually, it didn’t occur to me until after it was really a teen fantasy come true,” the 58-year-old actress told Naomi Campbell during a chat for the supermodel’s YouTube series “No Filter With Naomi” on Tuesday.

“I stopped for a moment and thought, ‘My God, I just did a show with some of the greatest models of all time.’ … I literally felt like a child. “

Campbell, 50, also appeared on the show, as did Bella Hadid, Cara Delevingne, Christy Turlington and Kate and Lila Moss. Moore opened the show with a low-cut black suit and huge geometric earrings – but said the moment was more than just fashion for her.

“It seemed special to me because it seemed less that it was entirely just about the clothes, but it was more about the whole story,” said the “Ghost” star, adding, “It was very magical and moving.”

During the meeting, Campbell also asked Moore to reflect on his iconic 1991 Vanity Fair cover, for which she posed naked while pregnant with daughter Scout. (Incidentally, Scout – now 29 years old – accompanied his mother to Paris for the Fendi show, and the pair even prepared along with masks.)

“I understand the impact this has had on the world and on women – our permission to hug us during pregnancy,” said Moore. “This was a moment of recognition that I think helped me to follow the path of being able to assume who I am.”
