Actress Demi Moore made her surprise debut on the catwalk on Wednesday, when she opened Fendi’s virtual show during Paris Fashion Week haute couture shows.
The 58-year-old man’s cameo saw her wearing a black silk suit with wide shoulders and baggy pants, elaborate earrings and a dark purse. She later used Instagram to describe the moment as “a teenage dream come true”.

The show also marked the debut of stylist Kim Jones, who presented her first haute couture collection to Fendi since joining the brand last September.
Succeeding the late Karl Lagerfeld as artistic director of women’s fashion and haute couture, Jones appeared for the occasion with an impressive collection of flowing capes, sparkling evening dresses and androgynous male looks.
His Spring-Summer 2021 collection, with inspirations ranging from Gian Lorenzo Bernini’s baroque marble sculptures to Virginia Woolf’s 1928 “Orlando” novel, was revealed through a pre-recorded video. To the soundtrack by composer Max Richter, the models walked through the dramatically lit labyrinth in the historic Palais Brongniart before resting in transparent boxes based on the “double F” monogram on the label.
Moore described the collection as a “beautiful and magical debut”. She was followed on the catwalk by industry bigwigs like Bella Hadid and Cara Delevingne. Iconic 90s supermodels Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell and Christy Turlington also appeared, while Moss’s 18-year-old daughter, Lila Grace, was another surprise addition to the star-studded formation.

“Thanks to the wonderful cast that made this happen with real friends and family,” wrote Jones on Instagram after the show. “I love you all!”
Although Moore is known for his sense of style – and for appearances on the covers of fashion magazines like Harper’s Bazaar – Wednesday’s concert marked his first major show on a catwalk. This happened a few months after her participation in a video for Rihanna’s lingerie brand Savage x Fenty, where she was seen in a black leotard.
The Hollywood star has been dressed by Jones before. She posed at Dior – where Jones also serves as a male creative director – for a brilliant photo album, celebrating her first year on the French label, which was released in October 2019.

With Covid-19 restrictions limiting travel and complicating physical fashion shows, brands have found new ways to showcase their creations. Fendi was one of several houses to present online collections as part of this year’s Haute Couture Week, exclusively digital. The Spring-Summer 2021 shows take place from January 25th to January 28th.
