Demi Lovato suffered 3 strokes and a heart attack after overdosing

Demi Lovato revealed some shocking details about her near-fatal 2018 overdose, saying for the first time that she suffered three strokes and a heart attack.

The 28-year-old “Confident” made her comments in a four-part documentary about her life, entitled Demi Lovato: Dancing with the Devil, which is due to debut on YouTube on March 23. A trailer was released on Wednesday, February 17, and also contains a snippet of Lovato’s new song of the same name.

In July 2018, the pop star was found unconscious at her Los Angeles home after an overdose, months after a relapse. Lovato, who struggled with drug and alcohol addiction in previous years, spent nearly two weeks in a hospital before spending months in treatment at a rehab clinic and living sober.

“I had three strokes,” she said in the documentary trailer. “I had a heart attack. My doctors said I had five to ten more minutes.”
