After news of Capitol Hill protesters in Washington, DC hit national headlines on Wednesday, singer Demi Lovato tweeted that she is “in the studio working on something special after today’s attack on democracy” and included the hashtag “# impeachtrumptonight “.
Lovato posted a screenshot of a tweet from the official Black Lives Matter page on Twitter that says, “So, we’re all going to act like it’s okay for whites to be invading the Capitol with no police response. But when we’re protesting to save our lives, the police hit us. Come on, guys.

Protests erupted in the United States after George Floyd’s death, and many protesters were met with police violence.
In response to the organization’s tweet, she said, “My heart is breaking. It makes me [too] sad to believe how naive I was to think it couldn’t happen, and it still did. Here we are. “She explained in the tweet that many of her fans were asking for her new album and she received several responses saying that she should continue singing” instead of talking about what needs to change in this country. “
She followed the tweet and wrote: “THAT’S WHY I CAN. THAT’S WHY I CARE. THIS CANNOT HAPPEN MORE F – KING. I’m angry, embarrassed and ashamed. I’m in the studio working on something special after the attack. to democracy today. “The tweet quickly went viral and has over 27,000 likes and 18,000 retweets.
