Georgia Republican Governor Brian Kemp criticized the statements of a Democratic congressman, suggesting that pro-Trump national guards would harm President-elect Joe Biden as “completely outrageous”.
In an interview with “The Story” on Tuesday, Kemp told hostess Martha MacCallum that the thousands of guards sent by Georgia and other states to help secure possession were “great patriots”.
Deputy Steve Cohen, D-Tenn., Faced bipartisan condemnation on Monday after telling CNN that the large number of “white men” in the Guard raised the possibility that they “might want to do something”.
“O [National] Guarda has 90% of men and only about 20% of white men voted for Biden, “said Cohen.” You have to find that out in Guarda, which is predominantly more conservative … probably not more than 25% of the people there protecting us who voted for Biden. The other 75% are in the large class of people who may want to do something. “
