While the Marvel Cinematic Universe can be known for its family attitude and healthy image, as befits the Disney brand, there is a change on the horizon Deadpool is set to (eventually) dress alongside Earth’s most powerful heroes. After two minor juggernauts won the box office, Merc with a Mouth officially came under Mickey Mouse.
While fans patiently wait for Ryan Reynolds to return to the role of Wade Wilson, a fan theory shows how David Leitch Deadpool 2 in fact, it makes the mercenary who breaks the fourth wall incompatible with the MCU. The film unfolds when Cable tries to kill Russell Collins (Julian Dennison) before he grows up to become the villainous Firefist and kill Cable’s family.
When Cable enters the scene, he is equipped with his cybernetic arm, a heavy arsenal of weapons and a burnt teddy bear that belonged to his deceased daughter. Deadpool manages to successfully reform Russell before he becomes the great evil of Cable’s apocalyptic future. The film ends with Cable’s future being altered and the burned bear returning to normal.
And? This what: it is in direct contradiction with Endgameexplicit time travel rules. In one of EndgameIn Tilda Swinton’s deeper scenes, Ancient One explains to Bruce Banner how time travel creates an alternative timeline instead of affecting the future. According Endgame, Deadpool 2the time travel gimmicks is in direct contradiction to the MCU.
Joonicks writes: “Such effects were explicitly rejected in Avengers: Endgame. And so Deadpool exists in a different reality with different natural laws, not just a different timeline. “
It is no secret that Endgame played fast and loose with his time travel. Although I scoff at flaws in things like Back to the future, the 21st entry of the MCU leaned into a corner with its own time travel paradoxes. Even the Russians don’t seem to agree with writers Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely about how the film’s complex time travel rules really work.
Deadpool 2 works along the same lines as Back to the future and riffs about the idea of Marty McFly’s photography changing due to his meddling in the past. Of course, the Deadpool 2 the problem can be easily explained in Deadpool 3: Wade Wilson is known for his many nods to the public, which means that a single disposable line could correct the situation.
even though Avengers: Endgame is held in high regard almost universally, critics have made no secret of the sometimes confusing laws of time travel. Looks like Captain America’s last-minute decision to stay in the past can have some serious and potentially serious consequences kick-start the Marvel multiverse. While some may find this frustrating, the whole idea of the Multiverse would also be a good introduction to Deadpool.
Like his comic counterpart, Deadpool is known for his cartoon antics when compared to the rest of the MCU. In addition to the R-rated nature of Dead Pool franchise in general, Wilson’s whole dynamics are very different from the normally serious MCU.
In his two films, Deadpool often scoffed at the absence of the X-Men – which led to Deadpool 2the memorable special participation of X-Men: Dark Phoenix fused. What if Deadpool 3 deciding to solve the riddle of time travel, this could easily be done with one of the character’s many meta comments. Elsewhere, it is likely that Deadpool 3 you’ll also have to explain why Cable looks so much like Thanos.
With fans eagerly awaiting the arrival of Fox properties like the Fantastic Four and the X-Men, it seems increasingly likely that Reynolds’ representation of Deadpool will be a sole survivor of the Disney merger. Like Deadpool 3 keep moving forward, fans are unlikely to see you back on their screens for quite some time.
Kevin Feige already minimized the arrival of the X-Men before 2025, which means we’ll probably have forgotten Deadpool 2time travel problems when Reynolds slides in his spandex once again.
