The list of killers in Dead by daylight it looks like a who’s who of the horror icons. Michael Myers, Freddy Krueger, Leatherface, Weird stuff‘Demogorgon and Pyramid Head from Silent Hill are all on the schedule. The latest feared killer comes from an entirely different background: K-pop.
The Trickster is K-pop star Ji-Woon, who developed an addiction to murder after the excitement of musical stardom was over. He was jealous of the other members of the boy band NO SPIN and left them to die when a fire broke out in his studio. He can use throwing knives his advantage while hunting survivors and, like the other assassins, he has some unique advantages in his sleeves.
Along with the latest killer, there is a new survivor coming to Dead by daylight. Yun-Jin Lee is a music producer who recruited Ji-Woon for NO SPIN. Among its advantages is a so-called Smash Hit (got it?), Which allows her to run away after stunning a murderer with a cot. She will also receive reinforcements when her teammates are in danger.
To be sure to accurately portray the industry and the K-pop community, developer Behavior Interactive worked with Kevin Woo of the K-pop band U-KISS and producer DJ Swivel, who collaborated with BTS. The studio gave another nod to K-pop with the title of the most recent chapter, “All-Kill”. It is a K-pop term that refers to a song reaching number one on all charts in real time.
The behavior has not been revealed when you will be able to unlock The Trickster and Yun-Jin in the full game. For now, you can try them out in Player Test Build on Steam. The latest trial version also includes colorblind modes and chat filters, along with adjustments for some benefits and killers.
