Goyer joined DC creative director Jim Lee at Spotify’s Stream On event to discuss how podcasts Batman Unburied will bring a new dimension to these classic characters and the DC universe. Some of the characters to be featured in future Spotify podcasts include Superman, Lois Lane, Wonder Woman, Joker, Catwoman, Katana, The Riddler, Batgirl and Harley Quinn.

“I was fortunate to have helped shape the way the audience sees Batman, and now it’s really fun to help shape the way the audience hears Batman,” said Goyer. “With Batman Unburied, let’s take a deep dive into Batman’s unconscious mind and his dream state, really leaning towards the idea of playing around with the idea of surround sound. “He then toyed with the idea of Joker whispering things in the listener’s ear, which he described as” nightmare “.

“We have a ton of other amazing characters,” Lee added. “We are planning to make a Catwoman / Katana podcast, Superman and Lois Lane, Wonder Woman, Batgirl, Riddle … there are so many amazing characters we can explore. This is a long-term partnership between Warner Bros, DC and Spotify, and I think the fan base will respond to that in an exciting way and embrace it as something new and innovative, and supplement all the other ways that they take on the DC Universe. “

Batman Unburied will be released later this year on Spotify.
