Washington, DC police on Friday arrested a 12-year-old boy who with another man is suspected of going out on a car theft wave, targeting four cars in an hour before the police arrested him, according to reports .
The other suspect remains at large.
One of the suspects pointed a gun at each victim and demanded that they get out of the car, according to the Metropolitan Police Department. The first attempted car theft occurred at 6:29 pm, but the victim fled the scene.

In two equally unsuccessful car theft attempts at 7:15 pm and 7:20 pm, the victims included two drivers who were waiting to pick up a customer and a man who was returning to his car at the time of the incident.
At 7:24 pm, the suspects convinced a woman to lose her car, but the 12-year-old girl was arrested shortly thereafter, and the woman’s car was recovered.

The 12-year-old was charged with four counts of armed car theft.

The police captured an image of the other suspect in surveillance footage and are asking anyone with information related to the case to call the police at 202-727-9099 or send a text message to the department’s complaint line at 50411 .
The Metropolitan Police is offering a reward of up to $ 10,000 for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the other suspect.
