DB Jammie Robinson transferring from South Carolina

After visiting Tallahassee last week, South Carolina transferred defender Jammie Robinson announced his decision to play for Florida State in 2021 on Sunday afternoon.

“First of all, I would like to thank the man above for giving me the gift to play the game I love,” said Robinson in his Twitter post. Thanks to all the loyal fans I have at the University of South Carolina!

“I am grateful to my Carolina coaches for making me a young man on and off the field. Finally, I would like to thank my family for supporting me and helping me make the best decision for me. That said, I will take my talents to Florida State University. #Go Noles. ”

South Carolina holder of last season, Robinson recorded 135 tackles, two interceptions and eight pass separations in his two seasons with the Gamecocks.

Robinson announced that he was entering the transfer portal shortly after South Carolina fired coach Will Muschamp.

A 2019 class perspective from Lee County High School in Georgia, Robinson signed with South Carolina on scholarship offerings from Alabama, Auburn, Kentucky and Tennessee.

FSU is active on the transfer portal in this cycle. In the past few days, former Auburn running back DJ Williams and former South Carolina striker Keir Thomas have also announced that they are moving to FSU.

In addition, the team also hired former UCF quarterback McKenzie Milton, former Kansas wide receiver Andrew Parchment, former Georgia defender Jermaine Johnson and former Arkansas defender Jarques McClellion.
