David Andrews returns after testing the free agency

There was a change of plans in New England. David Andrews Center is signing again with the Patriots, even after New England signed a one-year contract with Ted Karras earlier this week, a source told Kim Jones of NFL Media.

New England was expected to cease to be Andrews after signing with Karras on Wednesday. Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman even posted a goodbye to Andrews via Instagram on Thursday. After all, Andrews is back.

Andrews will sign a four-year contract to stay in New England, a source told ESPN Field Yates. Jones reports that it will be a friendly business for the team.

“I was told that David Andrews” loves “@Patriots and the contract numbers can reflect that,” Jones said Thursday night. “He is in home.”

Andrews has been a team captain and a holder of the Patriots for five years. He missed the 2019 season with blood clots in his lungs, but returned to playing 12 games in 2020, despite breaking his hand at the start of the season.

Andrews, Karras, Trent Brown, Isaiah Wynn, Michael Onwenu and Shaq Mason are the main attackers in New England. Justin Herron, a sixth round pick in 2020, is the Patriots’ best swing gear.

Andrews joined the NFL as a non-hired free agent from Georgia. He started in the center of New England in two Super Bowl victories.
