Phoenix Labs released a new update at Dauntless this week as Frost Escalation was added along with a new Hunt Pass. The technical name being 1.5.3 adds a ton of new content along with the new Realm of Ice Hunt Pass, as well as a new threat for Slayers to face in Urska. We have obtained the details below, as the update is ready to be downloaded now.
- ICE SCALE: Permafrost began to melt, revealing fragments of an ancient past … and awakening something in the depths of the ice. Fight through the frozen lands of Skaldeskar with the help of your warrior queen, Linnea Silver, and look for Urska on a new climb. But beware … all trips around Skaldeskar carry the risk of ulceration: a crippling condition that can freeze a Slayer on the way.
- URSKA: Behemoth is the cornerstone of Frost Escalation, the Urska – a nightmare taken from the pages of the Skaldish legend. Collect Urska pieces in Frost Escalation to forge new legendary weapons and armor. These powerful pieces of ice come with a new legendary skill (for weapons) and a new advantage (for armor). You can also unlock a full cosmetic variant defined through the Frost Escalation talent tree.
- REALM OF ICE HUNT PASS: February 4 also launches a new Dauntless Hunt Pass: Realm of Ice. Upgrade to Elite to unlock access to two otherworldly armor sets: the Frost Shaper (level 1) and the Vylmark Paladin (level 50). Inspired by the iridescent lights of the polar dawn, these pieces will shine in any collection.
