Darkseid and Steppenwolf have a ‘complex relationship’ in Snyder’s Justice League

Zack Snyder revealed what DC fans can expect from Steppenwolf and Darkseid’s “very complicated” relationship in their next Justice League movie.

However, Snyder shared his directional vision about Darkseid, admitting that he originally planned to set up the character to play a prominent role in a sequential film. “He is certainly the villain of the sequence, but he is definitely in full swing [in Justice League]”, he said.” He’s running the show. He is there. I don’t want to screw it up again, but yes, it’s definitely there. “

Snyder added that the version of Darkseid in his film has “tons of human motivation” and doesn’t just focus on a quest for conquest. “He operates on another plane, but certainly something has happened to him in the past and he is not happy about it, and it hurt him a lot,” continued Snyder. “It shaped him and he’s trying to fix it, so I think there are a lot of nuances to him and Ray [Porter] does a great job of dubbing it. “

Although Snyder has previously stated that a Justice League sequel was not likely to happen, he recently declared that he would be open to discussions about it. “I think I would say, I would believe it when I see it,” he said. “I’m happy to cross that bridge when I see it approaching.”
